The wall area opposite the windows is the re-interpretation of Japanese decorative & sacred niche (:tokono-ma). On one side of the post (: toko bashira), there are shelves (: chigai dana) with art objects and a cabinet (: tsuke shoin) that hide the modern office necessities. Another side of the post is for the owner to sit and rest.
